Jesse Arora

Jesse oversees all business operations and functions for the direct service, non-profit, and daycare business models under ASSIST Programs. Jesse works with his esteemed Vice Presidents and Directors to fulfill the mission & vision of Assist Programs across the state of California and serve students in need.

Jesse worked in education for the last ten years through various education service companies that he has founded. Before this, Jesse has always had an entrepreneurial background,  partnering in food service, farm service, retail, and other industries until he found his true  passion in education.

Jesse resides in Sacramento, CA with his two children Zara and Zen. Throughout his adult life, he has enjoyed outdoor sports, including football, golf, and  motorsport racing. His passion for business comes from his want to create 1000 livable wage jobs across California.

Chief Operating Officer

Denis Delic

Denis oversees and supports all programmatic functions within Assist Programs, working closely with his teammates to continuously improve the services we provide to our students, school sites, and families. With a steadfast commitment to offering safe, engaging, and inclusive programs throughout California, he takes pride in ensuring Assist stands true to its trademark: “An Educator’s Best First Job.”

Denis’s journey with Assist began 8 years ago after high school. This formative experience taught him invaluable lessons that he passionately shares across the company. He believes in the ripple effect; understanding that the impact of the program isn’t confined to the students he personally interacts with, but extends through the expansive reach facilitated by our dedicated staff.

Off-duty, Denis resides in Sacramento, CA alongside his partner Anh and their two cherished cats, Chicken and Bunny. His continuous personal pursuit of knowledge finds him enthralled with golf, chess, culinary experiments, and the latest in technology.

President of Operations

Nate McKinnis

Nate McKinnis is the Vice President of Operations at Assist. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day functions, ensuring that programming runs smoothly. He is committed to providing quality  services, and continuous development of his team.

Nate is an alumnus of Sacramento State, holding a B.A. degree in Business Administration. He resides in Elk Grove with his family and pets. With seven years of dedicated service at Assist, Nate discovered his passion for mentorship and is committed to making a lasting impact on his community.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Nate finds joy in spending time outdoors and staying active through various sports.

VP of Operations - Accounting

Sam Rubin

Sam oversees all accounting department functions and offers operational support where needed. He graduated from California State University, San Marcos in 2020 and moved to Sacramento to be closer to his now wife. There, Sam worked in the package delivery industry management until he found Assist. His passion for helping students stems from his own family experience, as one of the oldest kids of seven siblings.

Sam lives in Sacramento with his wife Celeste and their two cats, Sterling and Mizu

Scheduling Coordinator

Celeste Castro

Celeste serves as the Scheduling Coordinator at Assist, where she excels at managing schedules and ensuring smooth operations alongside Nathanial McKinnis. Her role primarily involves communication with front-line staff through various channels, such as text, phone calls, and email, to ensure that each staff member’s schedule is well coordinated. She takes pride in supporting her team’s success in making a positive impact on students’ lives.

Before joining Assist, Celeste earned her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and decided to settle in the Sacramento area. On a personal note, Celeste enjoys cooking, playing video games, and spending quality time with her two cats, Sterling and Mizu, and her husband, Sam.

Miranda Skinder

Meet Miranda, our efficient office coordinator at Assist. Born and raised in Sacramento, Miranda received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. With a background in mental health and drug and alcohol addiction, she brings empathy and dedication to her role. Beyond the office, Miranda enjoys fitness, indulging in delicious tacos, and spending time with her husband, Russell, and their puppy, Ollie.

Daisy Ocampo

Daisy is the Hiring Manager at Assist Programs, where she leads the recruitment and talent development efforts for a team dedicated to enriching the lives of elementary school students. With a passion for continuous education and a keen eye for potential, Daisy ensures that every new hire embodies the spirit of Assist’s mission to be: “An Educator’s Best First Job.”

She plays a critical role in building diverse and dynamic teams focusing on candidates who are passionate, reliable, and ready to make a meaningful impact. Daisy’s approach blends empathy, transparency, and insight—creating hiring experiences that are both thorough and welcoming.

When she’s not building strong teams, Daisy enjoys concerts, new restaurants and experiencing new places with friends and family.

Sabrina Munoz

Sabrina is a Sacramento native and the first in her family to graduate from Sacramento State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Education has always been a top priority in her life, and she is passionate about inspiring others to pursue higher education and reach their full potential.

Driven by perseverance and hard work, Sabrina strives to overcome challenges while serving as a source of hope and encouragement for those who may need it.

Outside of work, Sabrina enjoys spending quality time with her family and exploring new places especially new countries. Traveling allows her to experience cultures and gain new perspectives that continue to shape her personal and professional growth.
